How is this different from the various separate Patreon releases?

It includes some bonus sprites and more color variations, but the core content is mostly the same. Generally for patrons who have kept up with the releases, you are right and it's not a necessary purchase. Thanks!

I tried to claim it via patreon link but it says my pledge is too low despite being an annual subscription? It could be an itch issue because for a different patron itch seems to think that 3 euro are less worth than 2 dollars, could you help?

Yeah, there's something that I don't understand about currency conversion-- this one is set to require a pledge of $7 because it's intended for the $10-tier, so I hoped that would work to give some extra padding for other currencies. It's most likely that I messed something up :P I'll send you a download key to your patron account. Thanks!

thank you, you're too kind!

Hi, just subscribed via Patreon! Where can I get the dust clouds featured in the preview animations? Here are the different dust clouds that I can make out in the previews that would be nice to have:

- The player movement dust cloud

- Crab/Pinecoon/Mole throw dust cloud

- Crab pincers particles

- Dust cloud when slime splits

- Dust when marauder gets up

- Dust when marauder walks

- Any other dust particles used in the animation examples

I would really appreciate it!

Welcome :) The dust effects are  edits I made, based on this asset pack (really good stuff!) Hopefully that's what you're looking for.
Thanks!

Hi, I downloaded the full Smoke FX pack and I'm now trying to reproduce the animations from the examples, did you use any other packs to make the dust effects or just the one?

I edited them myself, generally by shrinking them and then cleaning it up with some manual pixel fixes. Thanks!

Are the sprites 16x16? And 4 directions?

Edit: is "Every" monster 4 directional? I see some enemies like the moles and the crabs can work with just having the front facing sprites, but something like the tribal enemies in the last GIF seem to only have 3/4th view sprites? That really won't fit in with the 4 directional game I'm trying to make. Thanks

They're based on a 16x16 tilegrid base size. That means that some monster sprites may be larger than a single tile but scale with characters and environments based on that size.

Most of the monsters are not four directional. They're designed for use in full movement-based action-combat systems (like Zelda instead of a turn-based RPG).

Some of the monsters, like the marauders in that gif, have two diagonal directions (up and down) which can be flipped to make four directions for most real-time action combat systems.

If your game is something that specifically requires four cardinal directions for every enemy design (like a tactics system where it matters which grid direction to target), then these monsters might not be the best solution for that project. The human characters in my Elements sets have animations in 4 directions, that might work better for your needs.

Thanks!

Hi! I glossed through the docs, and I AM making an Action RPG, but didn't really think that monsters can have 4 diagonal directions... I will have to sorta think about where my project is headed before really committing to such an expensive (but highly polished) pack. Thanks for the reply!

Hi, I'm thinking of buying your time elements series assets, are you planning to add more monster/bosses in the future and do you do bundle discount sale? Thank you and Excellent Work!

Yes there will definitely be more expansions in the future. As for bundle discounts, yes I usually participate in all of the major seasonal sales. thanks!
