I would like to know, if i have a team, my assistant have to buy this if I bought this?

Not if it's all for the same project. If the license is yours though then he can't use use them on any other project but only you can.

Do you have any that are ready for use in RPG maker XP?

If not, is it possible to have what I own calibrated for XP?

They're not in the XP format by default, no. If I remember right, the only difference with XP is that there's an extra column for the idle frames-- I THINK that if you just copy the middle frames into a fourth column, they would work for XP.

I think you're referring to the spritesheets here? I'm looking for tileset help.

ahh -- IIRC the tilesets in RMXP don't have a size limit vertically, justkeep them the right width (idr exactly, but check the RTP and matc that) and you can extend them downwards infinitely...?)

Hello, I was wondering if its alright if I use these assets in engines other than RPG Maker? Like Unity or SFML

Yes, if they're bought here on itch.io then you have full access to use them in any engine

Awesome thank you!

I bought this quite a while ago but have jumped back into RPG Maker after the new release. I love all of your tilesets and have joined your Patreon!

But I have a question: the doors and such associated with this don't seem to be formatted for RPG Maker. Have I missed something, or do I need to find a way to format them myself?

They should be in RPG Maker character format. Not sure what the problem is. If you send me an email then I can take a look at any attached images.

Thanks

I must have imported the wrong file or labeled it wrong or something, because I tried again today and they worked great. Thanks!

Are these tiles specifically compatible with RPG Maker MV? It says so on the other packs that they are, but I wasn't sure if this one specifically had tiles that were appropriate for the actual program itself...

Yes, everything should include files formatted for RMMV.

Are they also formatted for RPG Maker VX

why do some tiles have white around them its an issue when you place it theres just white squares around it

hey im new here and my first time  here, I want buy this pack, after i buy this the option to download will be avaliable?

Yes

Are these isometric tiles?

(+3)

I'm not Finalbossblues, but they are not isometric.

(+1)

Much Appreciated

Thank you for making these tile sets and offer them for a reasonable and affordable price. I decided to buy and love them! Definitely will credit you in my project!

(+2)

can i edit this? like make some modifications or use it as a base? and i'll use that modified version for a game

(+1)

I guess that's the idea right?

Yes that's fine!

Can you include single image files  in the download also? I use Tiled for my map editor (and TexturePacker to make atlases) and I want to use some of the tiles as sprites but I can not do that unless I have single images. Thanks.

Does the world map tiles include water? (coast tiles, river...)

Hi!I've imported the file water.png into Unity which is in the folder named "TILESETS",but after I found there are some unnecessary pixels when I use some pic for corner tile.Did I choose the correct pic for the corner tile?

This is which I picked

This is what it shows in Unity

I got the answer! The Filter Mode should be Pointer(no filter)!

(1 edit) (-1)

Hi! Why is it that there is no left/right side for water-to-grass tile?

Same with grass-to-dirt and some more

Ive imported as 16x16 in unity btw

That's the RPG Maker version. The pack also includes full autotiles on a different sheet that you should use for Unity.

Hello!

I've been learning how to use RPG maker MV for a while now and I'm starting to learn a pixel art in a similar way to what you do, but I was wondering does this pack fit nicely into MV or is some editing needed and if so for a lot of things or not?

I was mainly concerned about the characters would they fit and would it work with MV's side battler mode?

Thank you for your time!

bought this asset but can't find the tiles like in the screenshot:

Those tiles should be on the large house.png sheet. Thanks

Is there a guide to show me how to get this setup into my MV project, and is there a guide for the other tilesets as well?

hello, I love the assets but I had one question. I'm using the regular tilesets (not RPGMAKER) and I notice that some of them have sections that are all white. Is that intentional? Or is something corrupted with the files I downloaded? The specific ones are: dessert, outside, and house assets

Those are blank spaces that can be filled in with tiles from other expansions; the winter tile expansion pack for example.

Thanks!

Ah alright cool. Thanks!

What are the odds of a black friday/holiday sale on the asset bundle? Your work/aesthetic looks like a great point to study and learn pixel art.

(+1)

odds are good

Great to hear. I love your style. Looks like youve studdied and adapted Pixel Art from the golden Era of Square.  I hope someday that I can make work good enough to fit in seamlessly with yours.

I am sure this is posted somewhere but is the Time Fantasy assests only available to use in RPG Maker series or can we use them in other engines, say Unity or Intersect?

if you buy it here on itch.io there are no limitations and it can be used in any engine! :) thanks

you don't know who i am, i don't know who you are, but this pack reminds me of chronofantasyquest.

(-1)

Can be used to the commercial material?

(1 edit)

Yes, here's the licence (and from below,"In short: you can do pretty much anything other than redistribute the assets directly.") https://www.gamedevmarket.net/terms-conditions/#pro-licence

Absolutely beautiful art style! Bought these awhile ago in a previous bundle, but was picking up the few newer ones not included then and wanted to post a comment on the original one too. Will happily buy any more TF packs you do!

One question though, which applies to all the Time Fantasy packs: since there is no "Lazy Tilesets" script included sadly, is there a guide to setting passability for all these sets anywhere? I looked on your site but couldn't find one, and it's a bit hit and miss setting them all up myself with guess-work. Just a screenshot of your recommended settings for each sheet would be fine.

Also, someone on another forum mentioned a multi-page pdf "tips on use" guide included with the Steam version of this pack... there's nothing in the itch.io download I bought, though. Was that a Steam exclusive or did I misunderstood what they were even talking about? :)

(1 edit) (+1)

I don't have anything set up for the passability now. Other people are using the sets though, so you can probably find somebody willing to share a screenshot of their settings on the rpgmaker forums or on discord.

As for the PDF, if you email me I can send it to you as an attachment. There's not much to it, but I'll be happy to send it to you.

Thanks!

Nice classic 1980s retro look. Not really my thing but it's nice.

also curious if these come in 32x32 or how they look when resized

Do Patreons  get this for free?

No, this was made before the patreon existed if i'm correct.

Where are the doors for RPG Maker MV?

Hmm I might not have updated them yet into the pack.  I'll have to take a look. For now Send me an email and I can get them to you:

http://finalbossblues.com/timefantasy/contact/

Thank you for the quick answer

Nevermind, I just found I have them included in the characters pack

does it work in gamemaker with autotile? 16x16 tiles?

This's a problem. I see auto-tiles in terrain.png with 16 * 16. But I can't find auto-tiles in either mv or vx folder.

Interested in this set and a couple others from you. What sort of license do these tiles come with and may I have it in writing?

The license is very open. Edits are welcome, no engine restrictions, and OK for commercial use. In short: you can do pretty much anything other than redistribute the assets directly.

You can find the full legal text here: https://www.gamedevmarket.net/terms-conditions/#pro-licence

I love your art style in this! I bought the recent Humble Bundle with this included and I'm having some trouble figuring out which files go into which tile slots in RPG Maker MV. Do you have any kind of guide for getting this to work properly in MV?

The RPGMaker MV formatted ones should have it in the name - TileA1 for water, A2 for ground, etc. If you follow that you should be able to match them with the right database slots.
Thanks!

Got this assets in the Humble Bundle and I like it. A question tho... Why there are like White Strips in some of the Tilesets?

Might be some sort of transparency error. If you send me an email with images I can take a look. Thanks

Is there a difference between this and the one on rpgmakerweb.com?

The primary difference is the license. The RPG Maker version is only for use in RPG Maker but this one has no restrictions.

Thanks

Thanks for the great asset packs! Wondering if there are any of them that include UI menus or anything like that? Looking to open dialogue boxes in my game and would love them to be in this style.

I'm planning on eventually releasing window skin graphics in a future bundle or compilation. They are already made -- for now, they are available on my patreon for patrons.

Thanks

Appreciate the reply! Will check out your patreon.

I purchased using bundles.

Is it okay to develop and deploy games using this? (Unity Mobile Game)

Is there anything I need to be careful of?

If you bought this pack there on itch.io, then there's no engine restrictions and you are free to use it in a unity mobile game.

Good luck!

Firstly, good work on the art! As a hobbyist games programmer, artwork is probably the last thing i should do. A couple of things though:

- What's up with the white boxes? Especially on the outside tileset, the white squares are interfering with the actual tiles when dividing it with a 16x16 grid. I thought perhaps my images were corrupted but redownloading the files doesn't change anything.

- I love the water animations but the cliff tiles (lower left part of the water tileset) seem to lack the two remaining frames for the animation.

These are both things that are, more or less, easily fixable but i thought i should report them if you want to fix it.

Thanks!

- I don't know about the white boxes. Can you send me an email with a screenshot? I'll take a look.

- For the cliff tiles, good catch. Those are older and I just haven't updated with the new fully animated ones. Thanks!

Hey! I just wanna say that I really appreciate you mate. I'm working on a chrono trigger type of game and your art is saving me a lot of time. Thank you again man!

khmmm... KHMMMM... khmmm...

I think that these are... great!! I can use them any way I want to except resell them and there are so many of them and I don't have to pay hundreds of dollars for these and they look so good.
